The much awaited  Flower Show for this year will take place as planned between the 4th and 7th of December. This year’s theme, ‘Reflections’ which is vast in interpretation will see community groups also taking part in the Display section.

The panel of Judges will remain the same as in 2013 although two new judges will replace some judges from last year who will be away. The Flower Show this year is likely to surpass last year in terms of participation judging from the number of people registering and those inquiring. Although the deadline for registration was November 21, 2014, most participants have asked for the deadline to be extended. So late entries will be entertained this whole week.

The much anticipated 2014 Flower Show categories have now been made available for the general public after the responsible MNT Committee deliberated on them in the last couple of weeks.There are a few changes that have been made to the Categories from last year.

It is hoped this year that the Flower Show, whose theme  is “Reflections” will attract even more people as interest has been building up since the inaugural event in December last year.

The Orchid Society of Trinidad and Tobago’s representative, Tony Tangkai has been invited by the Montserrat National Trust to help in conducting a workshop on September 13th,  at the MNT Head Offices.

This will cultivate a lot of interest as it has been put together to prepare fall those who intend to take part in the now very popular Flower Show which will be held between December 4th and December 7th of this year.

Some of the topics of discussion during the workshop will include Horticulture, Floriculture, Judging and Presentations of Flower Designs.

Tony Tangkai who is not new to Montserrat, as him and his team gave us full support during the  preparations and judging of the Flower Show 2013, has expressed that he looks forward to imparting information that will in turn help Montserrat flower lovers during this year’s Flower Show. He will also share his experiences with Flower Shows, having traveled the world for ever bigger Flower events.
