The Trust in conjunction with the Department of Environment, Jersey and London Zoos of the United Kingdom will mount a Mountain Chicken Exhibition from June 24 at the Montserrat National Trust, Olveston. This is an opportunity to have an understanding of this species that became almost extinct due to the chytrid fungus and the volcanic eruptions. The mountain chicken is only found on Montserrat and Dominica. This exhibition will also help our communities appreciate the huge effort being put to protect the mountain chicken.
