The opening ceremony lived up to the theme for this year Our Heritage : A Potpourri of Cultures , from the singing of the Montserrat territorial song , the key note speech ,the African fashion show to the Exhibition itself !. It was all a memorable mix of cultures with guests to the event being encouraged to preserve the island’s values that have seen the country through a lot of challenges but still remaining steadfast .

Reverend Joan Meade, the guest of honour , gave an inspiring keynote address urging Montserratians to remain united in all circumstances .

Honorable Governor Adrian Davis and his wife Mrs Sujue Davis also graced the occassion that was attended by hundreds of people who waited so keen on the African Fashion Show and to view the Exhibition which will be open for at least another month showcasing Montserrat’s National Symbols and other countries’ influences on the Island . Visiting the exhibition will be an experience so memorable as it gets you reminiscing on some high profile figures in the arts , politics , history of Montserrat .
